The site
A green belt and a green-field reservation along the Mattegama Ela are kept free of building.
Design response
Factory premises, each with its own parking, share a services zone and a centralised kitchen, dormitory and laundry. An admin zone sits beside a public square with its own separate entrance. A new road network and bridge tie the site together, and land is held back for the park to grow.
